Margot Bell

Owner and A.R.I.D.O. Interior Designer, Margot Bell, began her career as a designer over 30 years ago focusing on the corporate world in Toronto. Establishing a partnership in the firm, Frankland Rusnyak & Associates Ltd. she enjoyed 10 successful years when she decided it was time for a change. Peaks and Rafters was born when Margot ventured north toward a long held dream of making a home and life for her family in Muskoka.

Design Philosophy:

Good design is about knowing people, their environment and how they use and interact with their spaces.

Favourite Design Element:

Old structures — making them new and relevant to today’s spaces while maintaining the charm and integrity of the era they belong to.

Dream Design Job:

Not so much a dream job, but a dream client — someone who is willing to learn and contribute to the design process. If you’re going to spend money, you may as will have fun doing it!
